BRAMPTON— Looking to protect yourself from being a victim of crime? There’s a new app for that.
Peel Regional Police Crime Prevention Services has introduced a new trivia game, available through a free app downloadable to iPad.
The game covers several areas of crime prevention – personal safety, fraud, social media, home security and Internet safety.
It was launched this week, Crime Prevention Week, and compliments several community events Peel officers have planned.
Today (Wednesday), crime prevention officers and auxiliary officers will be at Lester B. Pearson Airport, Terminals 1 and 2, all day educating businesses about being on alert for suspicious activity.
Tomorrow (Thursday), officers will be at Brampton’s Powerade Centre from 6-10 p.m. during the Brampton Beast hockey game focusing on the Lock It or Lose It campaign, with emphasis on hockey change rooms and sports centres.
